It Only Gets Better.

Out on the street

Into the bustling town

Clashing with the touts

You end up having a brawl

Right at your doorstep

Slumping your head on shoulders

You move into the day

To meet with the sunny rage

Tearing at you to make you cry

On and on you go

To your daily bread's place

Your boss awaits you

With a query

Too late, too slow, too nervous

Too everything Negative

And a sack letter

Without probation too

Slumps his head back home

The rain weeps along with him

As a gallant star

He steps into his ramshackle abode

Daughter asleep

Wife with wrapper round her

Ravenous to the bone

He asks to be satisfied

Only to be met with empty dishes

No money, no spice, no dish

Bad all the way

Drags his feet to the room

He lays on his rickety bed

Responds in creaking complaints

Even as he lies

Down into the dream world

Down to the monster's den

Bad dream launches him into day

Awake and alive to see the daylight

Only to begin the sad tale all over...
